The Institute is holding a Mainland Tax Conference on Saturday 24 May at the Ballroom, InterContinental Hong Kong. We have invited speakers to give presentations on subjects including an update on corporate income tax, individual income tax, transfer pricing and indirect taxes. Expert speakers will include a senior official from the Guangdong Provincial Office of the State Administration of Taxation, who will talk about cross-border tax issues. There will also be a panel discussion on tax implications for supply chain management. Please enrol now!

Highlights of CPD events include: 
The seminar "Building a Culture of Service Excellence" on 27 May will discuss the importance of service culture in different organizations and identify the strategies and critical success factors of creating a strong service culture.

The seminar "Key areas and common pitfalls in impairment test " on 28 May will share the speaker's experience from his previous role as a specialist reviewer of impairment test for audit purpose and his current role as a preparer for clients.

The workshop "Strategic planning from financial perspective" on 31 May will teach you how to define vision to help you create effective and practical objectives, and convert them into a strategic plan.


The workshop "Costing techniques - comparing the big three (ABC, standard, zero-based)" on 4 Jun will examine the three most common costing systems' features, benefits and limitations by using real examples.


The seminar "Taxation Faculty (TF) Seminar - International Tax Update on US Real Estate" on 5 Jun will discuss the key tax issues with respect to investing in US real estate by non-US persons, the challenges these investors face, and some common structures utilized by non-US persons investing in US real estate.
