Mentorship Programme launched to support young members

The new Mentorship Programme offers aspiring members the opportunities to learn from experienced members, and supports their individual and career growth through a "personalized" plan. Members are welcome to join as mentees or mentors through online registration by 31 Dec.


Annual dinner  – "CPAs on the Fast Lane"

Enjoy a great evening with members' performances – young members' live band, musical, unlimited flow of wine and great networking time at the anuual dinner on 8 Dec. at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Register by 3 Nov. to enjoy the early-bird discount.


Cross-border sports competitions

Th Institute's basketball, football and table tennis teams clinched the championships and the badminton team came second in the cross-border sports competitions held in Hong Kong on 19 Oct. with Guangzhou counterparts. Click to see photos.

Join as a team with your fellow bowlers or join as individual to compete in the bowling winter league which will run for 12 weeks starting from 7 Nov.

Sign up for the bowling coaching courses in November to improve your bowling skills.


Institute's Oxfam Trailwalker

Six Institute teams led by Percy Poon, Henry Shum, Vincent Tai, Tong Yat-wah, Edwin Yeung and Francis Yuen have set a target to finish 100km between 22 to 32 hours in this year's Oxfam Trailwalker on 14-15 Nov. It is a very tough physical challenge and we encourage you to sponsor the teams (0067, 0068, 0069, 0151, 5028 and 5029) by making a donation to Oxfam.


Golf events

Sign up for the golf day at Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club on 15 Nov. to enjoy a round of golf with members who share the same interest as you.

Don't miss the "play with a golf professional" on 22 Nov. at Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course with HKPGA, Eric Ma. This is for members who already have some basic golf skills and experience.


Race watching cruise

Come cheer for our sailing teams at the Around the Island Race on 16 Nov. by joining the race watching cruise. Don’t miss this opportunity to watch on board the annual biggest regatta in Hong Kong with over 200 boats participating. An after event dinner has also been arranged for members who are interested to mingle with the team members.


Dance events

Dance demonstration, performance, competition and group dancing are the highlights of the dance fun night on 22 Nov. Friends and family are also welcome. President and Council members will be there to support the event.

  As the dance fun night will be held in November, there will be no regular dance dinner in this month. Stay tuned for details of the December dinner.

Rumba (elementary I) and Tango (elementary II) will be taught on Thursdays in late November, while Jazz Funk and Jazz will be on Fridays and Saturdays respectively in early December. Line dance will be held on Tuesdays, starting on 25 Nov.

HKMA Swimming Gala

A team of four including Philip Lam, Yvonne Lee, James Leung and Albert Yuen participated in the inter-professional 4 x 50m free style relay organized by the Hong Kong Medical Association on 12 Oct.  Click to see photos.


RRAC Half Marathon Relay

Cheng Wai-sum, Ernest Mok and Wong Chun-wai represented the Institute at the Road Runner Athletic Club half marathon relay on 12 Oct. in Tai Mei Tuk Reservoir. Click to see photos.


CPA table tennis competition

The CPA table tennis competition concluded on 5 Oct. Lee Wai-ming and Carina Khan were winners of men's singles and women's singles respectively; Lee Wai-ming and Leung Chi-kit, and Tsang Hing-cheung and Leung Kwai-sheung were winners of men's doubles and mixed doubles respectively. CPA Cup - National Day Celebration Dragon Boat Invitation Race

The Institute's dragon boat team placed fourth in the Gold Cup category in this year's race against 10 other teams. Click for results and photos.


HKSAR Charity Football Invitation Tournament

Institute's football team participated in the HKSAR Charity Football Invitation Tournament organized by the Hong Kong Metropolitan Sports Events Association on 21 Sept. at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park. Click to see photos.

Merry Monday

At the Merry Monday on 3 Nov., Eddie Chui, holder of Certified Specialist of Wine, will talk about wines from the south of France – AOC Côtes du Roussillon. Come to enjoy the wines from this region and learn something about their characteristics.


Calligraphy class

The elementary calligraphy class on Cao Shu (草書), which comprises 15 lessons on Saturday afternoon, will commence on 15 Nov. Join now to learn this Chinese traditional art from the famous calligrapher Lau Choi-cheong (劉才昌).


Tennis training course

Come join the elementary tennis training course which will commence in late November subject to venue availability. It comprises four 2-hour sessions on Tuesday evenings. Experienced coach will provide a structural training for beginners. 


Talk by an adventurous accountant

Speaker Humphrey Wilson, a chartered accountant from U.K., will share his epic cycling adventure – a 9-month journey from London to Hong Kong, including the thrill, challenge and satisfaction of long-distance cycling at the talk on 15 Dec.

RSCP snooker tournament

Congratulations to the Institute's snooker team who came second in the RSCP snooker tournament against five other professional bodies that concluded on 5 Oct. They also placed third in the pre-tournament friendly match. Member Benson Lam was the champion of the highest break. Click to see results and photos.
