Live forum webcast – method for selecting the Chief Executive by universal suffrage

The forum on "Public Consultation on the Method for Selecting the Chief Executive by Universal Suffrage" will be held on 9 Feb. If you can't attend the forum, you can watch the live webcast, which will start at 7 p.m., and submit your written questions or comments via a designated email platform to the guest speaker Rimsky Yuen, Secretary for Justice cum Constitutional Development Task Force member.

Cocktail reception in Guangzhou

If you are working in or travelling to Guangzhou on 2 March, you are welcome to join our cocktail reception in the Westin Guangzhou where the Institute's President and leadership team will meet fellow members. Enrol by 23 Feb.

Tax issues arising from digital economy

The Taxation Faculty seminar on 10 Feb. will talk about tax challenges and implications arising from the increasing use of technology and the internet to conduct business.

Enforcement of directors' duties – overseas experience

The seminar on 3 March will discuss the concept of individual accountability with reference to enforcement of directors’ duties in Australia, U.S. and U.K. +

China to extend free trade zone policies nationwide

The State Council has announced the extension of preferential policies piloted in the Shanghai free trade zone. Policies on investment, foreign trade, finance, supervision and services will replicate the experiences of the free trade zone around the country. Click to see details (English / Chinese). Separately, the Guangdong's Legislative Affairs Office also issued a consultation paper on management of the free trade zone.

RSCP basketball tournament

The basketball team clinched the championship for the third consecutive year at the RSCP basketball tournament. The final match took place on 1 Feb. where Eddie Kam, Vanco Keung and Kurkye Wong also won individual awards. Click to see results and photos.
