  GAA board meeting in Hong Kong  


The Institute hosted fellow institutes for the Global Accounting Alliance board meeting this week to discuss how to promote quality services, share information and collaborate on important international issues for the betterment of our global profession. GAA delegates were presented with a commemorative book that compiled the series of interviews A Plus did with the chief executives of the 10 GAA member organizations.

Revised auditor's report
The seminar on 14 Dec. will focus on key changes to the auditor's report, in particular the implications for listed entities, and the revised standard on Auditor's Responsibilities relating to Other Information and its implications to the auditor's report. +
 

CPD tips: How to meet CPD requirements overseas

Overseas members can claim verifiable CPD hours by attending activities outside Hong Kong through online courses anytime, anywhere. Check out these courses at the CPD learning resource centre.


Accounting for share-based payment awards

Come learn more about accounting for share-based payment awards under IFRS/ HKFRS 2 on 24 Nov. +

Building controls into ERP – procure to pay

A series of workshops starting in November will focus on embedding controls in enterprise resource planning system for critical end to end processes. The first workshop on "procure to pay" will take place on 28 Nov. +


IT solutions for NGOs

The seminar on 23 Nov. will talk about common IT solutions for NGOs, the impact of emerging electronic payment to them, donation programmes and other NGO-specific applications. +

The Corporate Finance Interest Group seminar on 30 Nov. will talk about common issues in preparing for the listings of Mainland businesses in Hong Kong.
