Tribute to our Oxfam Trailwalkers

CPAs did it again with the will to succeed at Oxfam Trailwalker 2015! Congratulations to all 10 Institute teams for completing the 100km trail race within 36 hours. They have now become a formidable force in cross country running in Hong Kong. This year, we have made the following Institute's records:

  • The first super-S team clocking in at under 18 hours which consists of Aqua Tsang (captain), Albert Au, Terry Chiu and Edwin Yeung
  • The first team with past president and council member
  • The first lady team
  • A total of 10 teams with 40 members
  • 45 co-runners and support team members including our President and two Vice Presidents

Dance events

In December, Jazz Funk and Jazz will be taught on Fridays and Saturdays respectively.

The December dance dinner will be held on 18 Dec. at  "百樂會" in Tsim Sha Tsui.


Golf events

Hone your golf skills at the lessons with golf professional, Tommy Kan, in December. Various sessions are available on weekends to cater to your schedule.

Wrap up the year with the golf day at Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course on 21 Dec. to enjoy a round of golf before the Christmas holiday.

Snooker training course

Join the snooker training course starting on 10 Jan. to learn this cue sport from a professional coach. Beginner and intermediate sessions are available.

CPA singing contest

Congratulations to Elaine Kwong who won the championships in solo division and group division along with her group members Jacqueline Hsui and Ruth Leung in the CPA singing contest on 15 Nov. Tom Ho was the winner of Best Stage Appeal, while Dennis Yue and Winson Tam won the Most Popular Contestant award. Click to see photos.


CPA golf tournament

Anthony Marr and Joe Wan clinched the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Trophy and Wong Tan Cup respectively in the CPA golf tournament on 29 Oct. Click to see full results and photos.


CPA table tennis competition

The CPA table tennis competition concluded on 24 Oct. Congratulations to the winners including Alex Chan (men's singles), Hana Chan (women's singles), Johnny Choi and Thomas Tsang (men's doubles) and Hazel Leung and Thomas Tsang (mixed doubles). Click to see results and photos.


Bowling summer league

The team Kuruizaki beat nine other teams to win the summer league which concluded on 9 Oct. David Ma and Cecilia Poon were the Men's and Ladies' High Series winners respectively, while Patrick Lee and Miu Kan were the best improved bowlers. Click to see results and photos.


Sowers Action Challenging 12 Hours Charity Marathon

A HKICPA team, including Jun Au, Peter Lo, Juni Ngai and Y.W. Tong, placed fourth with a time of 6 hours 34 minutes and 33 seconds in the 42km corporate cup race of the Sowers Action Challenging 12 Hours Charity Marathon on 1 Nov. Click to see results and photos.

Golf day at Palm Island Resort

For the first time, Golf Interest Group organized a golf day at the Palm Island Resort on 18 Nov. where 20 members and their friends enjoyed this outbound trip. Click to see photos.

Tennis training course

The elementary and intermediate tennis courses in early January are now open for enrolment. Consisting of four 2-hour training sessions, the course will have experienced coaches providing structural training and practice.


CPAs for CPAs mentorship programme

The 2016-17 mentorship programme is now open for application. It offers an opportunity for young members to learn from their seniors and enrich their growth through a personalized plan addressing their career and other development needs. Members are welcome to join as mentees or mentors by 31 Dec.
