Annual dinner 2016 |
|
Nearly 550 members and guests came together to enjoy fellowship, games, dancing, and singing performances at this year's "CPA Explorer" themed annual dinner held on 7 Dec. A special thanks to: Lucia Fan, Gary Lam, Cynthia Chan, James Lung, Natalie Tam, Elaine Kwong and Adam Wong from the dance and singing interest groups for their performances, as well as our MCs Daniel Lin, Vanco Keung and Karen Poon. Cross border competition |
|
The Institute sent four teams to compete in the annual cross border competition in Shenzhen on 18 Dec. with Shenzhen and Guangzhou counterparts, and the Finance Commission of Shenzhen Municipality. Our teams placed first in table tennis and basketball, and third in football and badminton. Congratulations to all members who competed this year. Click to see photos. |

Fitness class |
Enrol in the weekly fitness training from January to March to get fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle in 2017. Limited space is still available for Class B. Registration closes on 28 Dec. and spots are filling fast. |

Merry Monday-Old World vs. New World style |
What do the terms Old World wine or New World wine mean? They come up often at wine talks, but is it really that simple to distinguish between the two? At Merry Monday on 9 Jan., speaker Mandy Duong will talk about these distinct styles of wine by comparing different bottles side by side. |

|
Come join the golf day at Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course on 19 Jan. Both the South and East courses are available for players of different skill levels. |

Hone your skills at the golf lesson "Driver and Woods" on 4 Feb. with golf professional, Billy Ma. The session is intended for intermediate and advanced players. |

Photography sharing session |
The Photography Interest Group has arranged a sharing session on 20 Jan. "Fireworks Alive", by well-known photographer, Catkaling, depicts a world in which fire and water coexist in harmony.

Calligraphy class |
The 15-session calligraphy class taught by famous calligrapher Lau Choi-cheong (劉才昌), on the writing method of Xing Shu (行書 - 蘭亭序) will commence on 9 Feb. |

|
Reminder: tennis training |
Sign up now for the 4-session intermediate tennis courses where experienced coaches will provide structural training and practice. The course will commence in early February subject to venue availability. |

Our CPA marathon runners won all team championships for 10km, half marathon and full marathon races, and many individual medals at the RSCP marathon competitions. CPA singing contest |
|
Congratulations to Natalie Tam for placing first at the CPA singing contest on 27 Nov. Adam Wong and Helen Chan won the "my favourite contestant" award, and Chan was also the winner of the "best stage presence" award. Click to see results and photos.

HKMA family sports day |
|
The running team comprising of David Kam, Tam King-tong, Tse Hoi-fat and Paul Tse won the championship at the Hong Kong Medical Association's inter-professional 4 x 100m invitational relay race on 27 Nov. Click to see photos. |

Bowling summer league awards |
|
The bowling summer league gathered at the SCAA Bowling Center on 2 Dec. to celebrate their successful season. Congratulations to Cyclone A for clinching the championship, and Flash and Turkey, who placed second and third. Golf tournament with HKMGA |
|
Congratulations to the Institute's golf team for defeating the Hong Kong Medical Golfers Association team in the 18th annual tournament on 7 Dec. This year marks the CPA's 13th win since the inauguration of the tournament. Click to see photos. |

|
The Institute's bridge team placed third at the RSCP bridge tournament on 11 Dec. against the barristers, doctors and solicitors. Click to see photos. |

PoIG annual gathering |
The Photography Interest Group held its annual gathering on 10 Dec. Close to 40 members spent the evening sharing their recent photographs and forming new friendships. In addition, Ng Lin-sing, the Honorary President of United Photographers Hong Kong, talked about picturesque and realistic photography. |

Donations to Oxfam Trailwalker 2016 |
Together with members' donations, the Institute has raised HK$311,289 for our 10 representative teams at this year's Oxfam Trailwalker. Thanks to all the donors, trail walkers and support team members. |

Insurance programme |
|
The group medical and life insurance programmes have been renewed. For individual members there are plans for life insurance, medical insurance, medical examination, dental plans, home insurance and motor insurance.
