Dragon boat team recruitment

The Institute's dragon boat team is recruiting new members for the 2017 race season. Training will start on 19 Feb. in Sai Kung. Selection of team members will be based on members' performance, commitment and team spirit during training. +

Enhancing organizational reporting
This IFAC policy position paper emphasizes the importance and usefulness of reporting broad-based information beyond what is provided in traditional financial reporting.

IASB Update and work plan

The January IASB Update covers a narrow-scope amendment to IFRS 9 Financial Instruments on symmetric prepayment options, the post-implementation review of IFRS 13 Fair Value Measurement, and IFRS 16 Insurance Contracts (which will be issued in May instead of March). The IASB work plan has also been updated.


Insurance contract webinar

This IASB webinar provides an overview of tentative decisions on the forthcoming insurance contracts standard in its November 2016 board meeting. The decisions will be reflected in the finalized new standard.
