  Quality assurance report highlights review findings  

The Institute's quality assurance report 2016 is out now, summarizing the work of the Quality Assurance Department in practice review and professional standards monitoring in the past year. It highlights common review findings of which members should be aware.


Cocktail receptions in Beijing and Shanghai
Come to our cocktail receptions in Beijing and Shanghai to meet Council members and other stakeholders if you will be there on 15 and 17 May respectively.

Mentorship programme begins third term
Nearly 170 mentors and mentees joined the ceremony and briefing session on 8 April which marked the end of the second term and the beginning of the third term. The programme offered aspiring CPAs the opportunity to learn from experienced members about career development and other work-life aspects. The momentum is picking up this year with more than 170 pairs compared with 142 last year.
 

Reminder: Financial Controllership Programme
Don't miss the Financial Controllership Programme starting in May to develop your right competencies to become a finance leader and add value to businesses. A second information session on 27 April will be hosted by Hong Kong Electric Investments CFO K.M. Wong.

Mainland tax conference
Come to the Mainland tax conference on 13 May to learn how the latest Mainland tax developments are affecting Hong Kong, international businesses and individuals. It will also cover corporate income tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax and individual income tax.

What's next after adjusting to China's "new normal"?
Enrol in the seminar on 5 May to learn more about the economic trend and associated risks of China in establishing credit control measures when trading with Chinese companies. +

IIA annual conference
The Institute of Internal Auditors Hong Kong's annual conference will take place on 5 June with the theme “Internal audit in the digital age - opportunities and risks”. Early bird discount is available until 21 April.
