20th Anniversary Cocktail Reception

President in the Handover year (1997), Tim Lui, together with over 130 committee members and guests from the Hong Kong and Mainland governments, accounting profession and other sectors, joined the Institute's Council to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR at the Cocktail Reception on 21 July. Workshop series for NGO board members

Under the CPAs for NGOs programme, a series of six workshops have been developed to equip NGO board members, especially honorary treasurers, with relevant knowledge to discharge their duties relating to financial management, budgeting, reserve policy, auditing, internal control and governance. The first workshop on 21 July was well-received by participants with 90% saying it was useful. In addition to the two key speakers, 10 accountant ambassadors contributed by facilitating group discussions.

 

PAIB conference 2017 – "CPAs beyond the horizon"

Don't miss this annual event on 9 Sept. to look into the diverse roles played by accountants in business. A panel of renowned speakers will share insights and useful tips about how PAIBs can become business leaders. +

The seminar on 24 Aug. will provide an overview on how innovation in the financial sector can be protected under PRC and Hong Kong law. +
Enrol in the international tax course starting on 12 Aug. to equip yourself to provide competent tax advice on cross-border transactions. This course is a compulsory component of the Institute's Professional Diplomas in China Tax and Hong Kong Tax.

Badminton competition in Guangzhou

Congratulations to the Institute's badminton team for placing the second at the Integrity Cup Badminton Competition "誠信杯" 羽毛球賽 held in Guangzhou on 22-23 July. The team competed with 30 other teams from across the Guangdong province, Macau and Hong Kong. Click to see photos.
