News highlights

	Sports and Recreation Night
	Around 280 members and guests joined the annual Sports and Recreation Night on 28 July, where President Mabel and Vice President Patrick delivered a remarkable singing performance. Members enjoyed the night with plenty of networking and games. Click to see event photos, interest group videos and the competition video highlighting events held during the past year.

	Dance fun night
	A dance performance, competition and group dance are just some of the highlights of the dance fun night on 14 Oct. A live band will play music throughout the evening. Enrol now to explore the fun of dancing with fellow members.

Upcoming events

Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2018
The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon will be held on 21 Jan 2018. The ballot registration system for public entry will run until 6 Sept and results will be announced on 21 Sept. The Institute will once again provide a range of pre- and post-race support for CPA runners, including:
	Free briefing session on 11 Sept to learn more about the preparation and training strategies.
	A series of marathon training classes will start in Sept for members to prepare for the race.

Dance events
	Intermediate level Jive and Cha Cha Cha classes will both begin on 7 Sept in Wanchai.
	Beginners Jazz will continue on 30 Sept in Mongkok.
	Dance and dine with fellow members at the dance dinner on 15 Sept at 百樂會 in Tsim Sha Tsui.

CPA tennis team recruitment
The Institute is forming a representative team to compete in the RSCP tennis tournament (men's doubles and mixed doubles) in mid-November. If you are an elite CPA tennis player, please submit your past records in external competitions by 15 Sept for internal selection.

Recruitment of dragon boat team
Register to represent the Institute at the HKICPA Cup National Day Celebration Dragon Boat Invitational Race 2017 on 8 Oct, preferably if you have joined this year's regular training organized by DBIG. Selection criteria is based on member's competence, experience and team spirit.

Recruitment of CPA snooker team
Put forward your name if you are interested in representing the Institute at the RSCP Snooker Tournament on 15 Oct. All applicants are subject to a selection session organized by the Snooker Interest Group.

Tennis training
Sign up now for the 4-session elementary and intermediate tennis courses where experienced coaches will provide structural training and teach basic skills. Both courses will commence in mid October subject to venue availability.

Recruiting football and table tennis team members
Register to represent the Institute at the cross border football and table tennis competitions on 22 Oct, and other external competitions. The selection criteria are based on players' skills, past results and sportsmanship.

Others

	Moon cake making classes
	Join the moon cake making classes for young members, on 22 or 24 Sept, to sweeten your mood for the coming Mid-Autumn festival. Participants will learn this traditional culinary skill in good time for family and friends to savor hand-made moon cakes during the mid-autumn festival.

	Run and walk for volunteering
	The Agency for Volunteer Service has organized a charity walk and run event on 22 Oct at The Arcade, Cyberport, to raise funds for its programmes on encouraging the public to take part in quality volunteer services. Visit the event webpage for more details and enrolment.
