Sports and Recreation Night

Members who have represented the Institute at external competitions are invited to attend the upcoming Sports and Recreation Night on Friday,
27 Jul at the Grand Stage. Last year, we had over 200 members and friends from the Institute's 15 sports and recreation interest groups joining the fun-filled annual gathering. There will be exciting games, performances and lucky draws. Don't forget to check your email for your invitation (a list of external competitions included in the invitation is available) and sign up now!

 
  Upcoming events
 

Trailwalker training

The Athletics Interest Group has organized a series of training hikes to prepare members for this year's Oxfam Trailwalker. This is also part of the team selection process. Sessions in June and July are now open for enrolment.


Dance events

Elementary level samba and intermediate level cha-cha-cha classes will both begin on 7 Jun in Wanchai.
Join the next round of beginner jazz classes on
16 Jun in Mongkok.

Dance and dine at the monthly dance dinner on
22 Jun at 百樂會 in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Golf day at Kau Sai Chau

Join the golf day on 16 Jun at Kau Sai Chau (South Course). This course is suitable for beginners or players with high handicaps.


Support the CPA dragon boat team

To celebrate the Tuen Ng Festival, the Institute's dragon boat team will compete in the Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships at Stanley Main Beach on 18 Jun.

The team is also participating in the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board from 22 Jun to 24 Jun in small boat, mixed standard boat and the fancy dress competitions. There will be food, beer and beverages, music shows, games, entertainment arranged by the organizer. Members are welcome to support the team and enjoy the carnival.


2nd mini bridge tournament

The 2nd mini bridge tournament of 2018 will take place on 30 Jun. Sign up now to gain more tournament experience.


Singing technique classes

Sign up for the 6-session elementary and intermediate singing technique classes starting in June.


Tennis training course

Join the tennis training courses starting in late June and learn from a professional coach. Elementary and intermediate sessions are available.


Bowling summer league

The bowling summer league will take place across 12 weeks from July to September. Form your own team or join a registered team in the league now.

 
  Competitions and Awards
 

RSCP Basketball Competition

Congratulations to the Institute's team for winning its 6th consecutive championship at the RSCP Basketball Competition on 22 Apr. Foreky Wong was awarded both Scoring Leader and Steal Leader while Chiu Ka Hung was awarded Assist Leader, and Kurkye Wong was awarded Most Valuable Player. Click to view photos.


RSCP Annual Dinner and Singing Competition

Congratulations to our Champion singer Natalie Tam for winning the solo category at the RSCP Singing Competition on 26 May. More than 180 attendees including our President Eric Tong, Vice-President Patrick Law and members enjoyed the night with exciting performances of the singing contestants including lawyers, barristers, doctors, dentists, architects and surveyors. CPA Badminton Championship winners

Congratulations to the top winners at the CPA Badminton Championship on 6 May: Yap Thiam Weng (men's singles), Fiona Ching (women's singles), Lawrence Li and Wyatt Yeung (men's doubles), Fiona Ching and Joyce Kwong (women's doubles) and Joyce Kwong and Wyatt Yeung (mixed doubles). CPA Bridge Tournament

Congratulations to Benny Chow and John Wu for their victories at the annual CPA bridge tournament on
26 May. Fok Kai Kwong and Lee Kam Kau finished second, while Stephen Lee and Michael Cheng finished third. Click to see photos.


HKIA Sports & Family Day 2018

Congratulations to Gordon Leung, Tam King Tong, Tse Ka Chun and Tse Hoi Fat for finishing second at the invitational 4x100 relay at the HKIA Sports and Family Day held on 28 Apr. Click here for photos.
