Corporate finance

In order to increase support to members working in the corporate finance sector, improve representation and promote the interests of the sector, in January 2005, the Institute set up a Corporate Finance Committee. The remit of the committee is to represent a broad cross-section of the corporate finance industry.

Since its formation, the committee has reviewed and provided comments on a number of consultation documents. Click here to see the Institute’s submissions on corporate finance-related subjects.

Corporate finance qualification

The Institute is currently considering the possible introduction into Hong Kong of a new international corporate finance qualification (“CF qualification”). The aim is to provide a specialised but comprehensive and practical course, leading to a qualification, for persons with different levels of experience in the corporate finance field. Discussions are under way with the developers of the qualification, namely, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, about adapting the CF qualification for Hong Kong.
