The Rebranding Cocktail Reception Held on 8 September 2004 Was a Great Success!

We cordially invite those of you who have missed this special occasion to go to our website to:

(1) read the speeches made by the HKICPA President and by the HKICPA Chief Executive & Registrar as they carry important messages about the Institute's mission, vision and values; and

(2) get a feel of the festive spirit and atmosphere through some of the photos taken at the reception. A photo album is under preparation and will be available early next week.

Those who attended must not miss the photo album as you may find your own picture(s) in the album. Feel free to help yourself with the download if you happen to find your own picture(s).

Forum on the 2004 Legislative Council Election (Accountancy Functional Constituency)

All 9 candidates from the Accountancy Functional Constituency attended a forum hosted by the Institute on 6 September 2004. A video recording their speeches and conclusions is available on the Institute's website for viewing by interested members. <click here>

Members' Handbook Update No. 5

This Update encloses a new Professional Ethics Statement 1.213 which sets out the use of new designations for members, member practices, and International Affiliates introduced by the Professional Accountants (Amendment) Ordinance 2004, and sets out the restrictions on the use of the logo of the HKICPA.

Statement 1.213 became effective on 8 September 2004 and replaced Statement 1.202 which was withdrawn on 8 September 2004.
