It has come to my attention that some CPA practices might be putting their staff under pressure to obtain a specified number of ballot forms from their clients and friends who are HKICPA members.
CPA practices should not behave in this manner. Firms should recognise that there is a difference between encouraging staff to vote and to obtain votes from friends and clients and putting pressure on them to do so. I trust that all our member practices will conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the high level of professionalism and integrity that are the cornerstones of our profession.
