Institute's Corporate Governance Leadership Role
Highlighted in News Programme

The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs' Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Award winners and President Edward K.F. Chow will be featured in an upcoming Cable TV series on corporate governance. Tune into Cable TV News Channel 1 this Saturday at 8 p.m. to see the first installment. In this segment, the President talks about the Institute's role in organising the award to help promote corporate governance. This series is a coup and solidly positions the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs as a thought leader on the issue of corporate governance.

Other dates for the series are 26 February and 3, 12 and 19 March, all at 8 p.m.

Computerised Ticketing System

If you are one of the members who has been using the Institute's computerized ticketing system for recording your attendance at the Institute's CPD programmes, please print a hard copy of your Online Attendance Record for the year 2004 because these records will be removed from our database on 1 March 2005.

The computerised ticketing system is still functional, and can simplify your CPD record keeping. To find out more about the computerised ticketing system and its benefits, please click here.

Replacement of the CPA Lapel Pin Back

Last November, we produced a pin for members with our new logo and distributed it to all members. Since then, we noticed that the back of the pin was not tight enough to hold the pin in place. We consequently produced a new back for the pin and it will be sent to you in the February 2005 issue of The Hong Kong Accountant.

Please look for this replacement in the attachments of the journal. You may want to use this new part of the pin when wearing it.

We hope you will continue to wear the CPA pin with pride.
