Invitation to participate in mock e-Voting

You will be pleased to learn that an e-Voting System (EVS) will be launched to provide you with a convenient means to cast your votes at the 2005 Council election, in parallel with the paper ballots system.

To familiarize you with the e-voting process and procedures, we cordially invite you to participate in a mock e-voting exercise scheduled for Monday, 22 August 2005 09:00 to Wednesday, 24 August 2005 17:30 (HKT). The results of the mock e-voting exercise will be independently reviewed by the Institute's auditors and an external security consultant.

To participate, you only need your login ID and password for accessing the "Members Only" Section of the Institute's website and your email address.

We enclose the following documents, available on hyperlinks, for your reference:

e-Voter Procedures Manual - your step-by-step guide to cast your vote in EVS.

Rules and Conditions - the governing rules and conditions for Council Election.

Composition of Council - composition of Council.

Ballot Form - mock ballot form.

After participation, it is important that you give us your views about EVS, especially areas where EVS can be improved. Please send your comments and suggestions to evoting@hkicpa.org.hk.
