Meet the winners whose annual reports reflect the highest standards of corporate governance disclosure in Hong Kong, and exchange views with the judges and reviewers, who are key representatives from financial market regulators, the government, professional associations and academia.

Buy "Happy Stones" for Happy Children
H
ow many "happy stones" have you sponsored? Show you care for Hong Kong families by supporting
PlayStreet 2005, co-hosted by the Institute and the Playright Children's Play Association, which will transform Chater Road into a haven of fun on 4 December.
Children who join the event will receive "happy stones" for games in which they volunteer to help others. For a mere $100, you can buy a "happy stone" to reward a child who has done a good deed. You can also post your goodwill message online along with your listed contributions. Watch for more details to be announced soon.

Mark Your Diary for the AGM
T
he Institute's AGM will be held on 16 Dec at World Trade Centre, Causeway Bay, and as you may be aware, it coincides with the World Trade Organisation 6th
Ministerial Conference, scheduled for 13-18 Dec. We note from the government that our AGM venue is not in a restricted access zone, and thus access will not be affected, although high traffic is expected during the period. We'll keep on liaising with the government and keep you informed if there are special arrangements. Please also watch for the AGM notice, which you will receive soon.

Institute Expands Training Support for Students
T
he Institute introduced a new supervisor scheme this month for students who are not working under an "authorised employer" or "authorised supervisor." This
scheme allows eligible students to apply for supervision by our authorised supervisor working in another organisation, and gain practical experience that will apply to membership admission. Click here for more.

Institute Joins Government Visit to Fujian
O
n behalf of the Institute, Vice President Paul Chan joined the Hong Kong
Financial Sector's Fujian Visit on 28-30 September, led by FSTB Secretary, Frederick Ma. Visitors learned more about the latest developments in Fujian province, while at the same time, the delegation introduced the strength and services of Hong Kong as an international financial centre.
