CPA Day celebration
oin us to celebrate the CPA profession in Hong Kong by wearing your pin on CPA Day this Friday (8 September). As a special treat, we've invented a hip hop movie, coming to your mailbox on Friday afternoon. Cheer for CPAs Tino Lee, Michelle Ip, York Cheng and Patrick Ng as they hip hop to "Toot in da House." ("Toot" as in "Institute.")

New QP record
he number of QP graduates will hit a new record at the ceremony on 12 September. Guest of honour, Frederick Ma, secretary for the FSTB, will congratulate the 551 students passing the exams in the December 2005 and June 2006 sessions before they gear up to become CPAs once they fulfil the practical experience requirements.

Voice out on GST
bout three hundred members packed the Institute's auditorium on 4 September to enthusiastically discuss the government's GST consultation with President Paul Chan, Taxation Committee Chair Yvonne Law and Chief Executive Winnie Cheung. Another session in English will be held on 8 September. The Institute is setting up a working group to consolidate member comments.

Tee time
he weather is cooler, so come join the CPA Golf Tournament on 5 October at the Hong Kong Golf Club to contest the Wong Tan Cup and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Trophy.
Mark the date for annual dinner
Mark your diary for the Institute's annual dinner on 9 November (Thursday) at the HKCEC to meet Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang and other guests of honour, fellow members and friends. Watch for details in upcoming e-circulars.
