  Auditors lead quality drive
he Institute's quality control programme is pushing Hong Kong to the forefront of world standards in auditing, reported the South China Morning Post. Regional regulatory bodies worldwide are watching the Institute with interest, says the Institute in SCMP report published on 30 and 31 March.  
 
  IFRS for SMEs
  comparison between the proposed IFRS for SMEs and the corresponding Hong Kong SME standards is available for members' reference in making comments to the IASB exposure draft.
 
  MTR walk
he Institute team competed in the MTR Race Walking on 15 April to help raise public awareness on healthy living. President Mark Fong participated in the Chairman's Invitational. Thanks to CPAs Newton Cheung, Bruce Li, KT Tang and Louis Wong and the cheering team.

  Exploring Kazakhstan
ou are welcome to join the HKEx's financial and IPO conference in Kazakhstan on 11 May to promote your firm and meet potential issuers. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Hong Kong Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Frederick Ma and HKEx Chief Executive Paul Chow will take part in the conference.
