Ethics views
The Institute expresses concern about independence requirements relating to "Entities of Significant Public Interest" without an agreed definition in its response to the exposure draft from the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants.
On the 2008-09 IESBA strategic questionnaire, the Institute suggests more guidance on fraud and illegal acts as part of the board's activities.
