Big Six block French law

The Big Six accounting firms are lobbying the European Commission to overturn a French law restricting their rights to offer advisory and assurance services to French companies in other jurisdictions, Accountancy Age.com reports. +


Dress code for accountants

Indian accountants will soon have a dress code for business meetings and official engagements. Issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India, the code aims to give its professionals a corporate look, according to The Economic Times. +


Tax cut for mainland SMEs

Four million small and medium-sized enterprises in the mainland will benefit from a recent corporate tax cut, which comes as a relief amid soaring labour and material costs, SCMP.com reports. +

The IASB exposure draft about proposed amendments to IAS 39 limits what can be designated as a hedged item in a hedge accounting relationship. We welcome your comments. +
