Quarterly reporting
The time is not right for introducing quarterly financial statements by companies listed on the main board, according to the Institute's submission to HKEx. The Institute recommends Hong Kong companies focus on frequent and timely management reporting. +

Annual report tells success stories
This year's annual report is woven around our recent "success stories" advertising campaign, which is based on the true experiences of our members. Corporate governance awards
The prestigious Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards presentation luncheon is taking place on 22 Nov. Come meet the winners and members of the judging and review panels. +

China's largest oil and gas producer, PetroChina has surpassed Exxon Mobil to become the world's largest listed company. The company's share price more than doubled with a market capitalization of $1 trillion after its debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, BusinessWeek.com reports. +


Citigroup CEO quits

The chairman and chief executive of Citigroup has resigned amid the bank's possible write-off of $11 billion of subprime mortgage losses. Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin was named chairman, according to Reuters.com. +


Luxembourg tax pact

Hong Kong has signed an agreement with Luxembourg on cross-border taxation that brings tax savings and certainty in tax liabilities, News.gov.hk reports. +
