Restructuring and insolvency faculty debut
 

The Institute's first faculty - restructuring and insolvency - will raise the bar for this specialized field. To celebrate, a cocktail reception will be held on 28 April at the Hong Kong Club and members who join the faculty before 23 April will be invited to the event. Institute talks to media about misleading ads

In a recent interview with The Standard, Institute's Chief Executive and Registrar Winnie Cheung says misleading advertisements placed by unqualified accountants are unprofessional and pose a serious threat to SMPs.

Bankrupt airlines

Frontier becomes the fourth airline in the U.S. to file for bankruptcy in recent weeks although the airline say its situation is different because its biggest problem is a dispute with its credit card processor, CFO.com reports. +
