The death toll of the earthquake in Sichuan is expected to reach 50,000 while more than 25,000 are now buried in rubble and more than 100,000 were injured. To help victims of this massive disaster, the Institute is setting up a bank account for your contributions, which the Institute will match dollar for dollar up to $300,000. We urge you to make a donation if you have not yet done so because every bit will help in this urgent situation. We'll be sending you details of how and where to send your donations soon.
Esprit spirit Sunday
Joining the earthquake relief effort, Esprit has designated this Sunday, 18 May as the "Sichuan Earthquake Relief Day" and all sale proceeds generated that day will be donated to assist the victims in Sichuan. Esprit has granted members its discount card. Remember to bring it to make your purchase and contribute to the relief.

About 160 delegates from Asia and Europe attended the OECD's 2008 Asian roundtable on corporate governance on 13-14 May in Hong Kong. As one of the co-organizers, the Institute's chief executive Winnie Cheung spoke at the first session on "Corporate governance in Hong Kong, China - beyond box ticking."
