China's accounting revolution
 

A joint conference with ICAEW on revolution of China accounting will take place on 18 July. Paul Pacter from IASB and Joseph Yuen from Deloitte will analyze changes in PRC accounting standards and prospects for effective implementation. +

An international survey from Grant Thornton shows that anti-fraud awareness of Hong Kong private businesses falls short of worldwide standards, according to the firm's press release on its website. +

Hong Kong SFC has commenced its second criminal prosecution for insider dealing since the inception of the Securities and Futures Ordinance in 2003, according to SFC website. +


Limited liability

The European Commission is recommending member states to limit liability of auditors to encourage growth of alternative firms in the competitive market, AccountancyAge.com reports. +

CPD briefing
The CPD briefing sessions starting 25 June will help you know more about CPD requirements. Remember you need a total of 120 CPD hours including 60 verifiable hours over a three year period ending 30 November this year (the first three-year rolling period started on 1 December 2005). +
