The event showed members' interest in the candidates and if you missed the forum, the webcast has been posted on the website. PCAOB approves succession rule
The U.S. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has approved a new rule that allows accounting firms to keep their registered status after a merger or change of name. The new rule is intended to protect auditors from stopping work because of a gap in their registration status, CFO.com reports. +

Steps to reduce standards complexity
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has called on standard setters to change their approach in designing accounting rules after criticisms on standards for being obscured by dense language, detailed rules and numerous exemptions, AccountancyAge.com reports. +
