IFAC has amended the international education standards and related education pronouncements to bring in terminology consistency and to clearly describe the role of IAESB, the education standards setting body. +

Pension fund guidelines
OECD is inviting comments on draft guidelines to help pensions' regulators and supervisory authorities improve pension fund governance. +

Chinese translation on reporting

Suggested Chinese translation of reporting on general charitable fund-raising activities covered by the Social Welfare Department's public subscription permits (other than flag days) is now available. +

Tweedie's wishlist

IASB chief Daivd Tweedie says he is increasingly confident that the U.S. will embrace IFRS. He also says he wants to push through a few issues before he retires in 2011, including making airline companies account for the value of airplanes they lease and new insurance accounting standards, Accountancy Magazine.com reports. +
