Authorised Supervisor: Richard Tse, Yip's Chemical Holdings Limited
While many QP students choose to undertake their training through an authorised employer, there is another route available - through an authorised supervisor. The main way in which supervisor's role differs is that the supervisor is an individual rather than a firm. Richard Tse, a financial controller of a listed company Yip's Chemical Holdings Limited, is a supervisor. His company is a manufacturer and trader of chemical products. Click here for more details. |

Examination Regulations
Candidates should read the examination regulations carefully. A full list of regulations is published in the candidate handbook and examination attendance dockets (EADs). The following are some of the examination regulations that candidates must follow strictly:
- Reading time (for final examination candidates only)
During the reading time in the final examination, candidates are only allowed to read the questions and plan and organise their answers, such as by jotting down points on the question booklet, flagging the relevant information on the materials brought to the examination hall, etc. Candidates are NOT permitted to organise the answers on rough paper. If you wish to write down any points, it must be done on the question booklet. The writing of answers in the script booklet is NOT allowed until candidates are instructed that they may do so by the examination supervisor.
- Use appropriate script booklet
Candidates are required to use the appropriate script booklets to answer respective examination papers, i.e. case answers on the case script booklet, essay / short question answers on the essay / short questions script booklet. Failure to do so may render your examination scripts unmarked.
- Write the question numbers clearly
- Do not tear the script booklet
- Do not use pencil

Congratulation to the great success of the case competition organised during the Youth Elite Accounting Forum held at Tsinghua University, Beijing. The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, which was the professional adviser for the event, worked together with the Tsinghua Accounting Association in organising the competition held on 29 October 2006. The competition aimed to enhance generic skills of students and encourage discussions between accounting students in the mainland and Hong Kong. The six participating teams mixed mainland and Hong Kong students, and all presented outstanding performances to the competition adjudicators, including, Dr Stella Cho, Chairperson of Student Services Committee and Georgina Chan, Executive Director of the Institute. The event was a good step forward for developing close ties between the Institute and Tsinghua University, and between students in the mainland and in Hong Kong.
