Authorized employer: Vision CPA Limited
Most of Hong Kong's accounting practices are small or medium-sized firms. These organizations offer a different type of training experience when compared to large accounting firms and business entities.
One of the smaller firms which acts as an authorized employer under the QP is Vision CPA Limited. This firm has three directors, around 15 professional staff and another five support staff. One of the directors, Daniel Wong, is both the member-in-charge and a counsellor under the authorized employer scheme. Click here for more details. |

Meeting workshop group representatives
The first meeting of workshop group representatives was held in the evening of 13 November 2006 at the Institute's Members' Lounge. A total of 77 workshop group representatives attended the meeting, representing a 90 percent attendance rate for those who agreed to attend.
The meeting lasted for about two hours and light refreshments were provided. The first half was conducted in a casual and relaxing atmosphere through a cocktail reception which provided a chance for fellow representatives, workshop facilitators and the Institute's staff to meet and get acquainted with each other. It was great pleasure to have Mr. Edmond Ng, the Examinations Board member and the master workshop facilitator, to give the opening speech and to welcome the representatives. In the second half, representatives were divided into four groups of 15-20 persons each for small group discussion and experience sharing. Views and suggestions collected in the meeting were summarized and submitted to the Examinations Board for consideration. The meeting is held regularly to enhance communication between QP candidates and the Institute. |
