Cancellation of the June 2020 Session of the QP

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has escalated into an unprecedented worldwide crisis in the last few weeks. The Institute continues to actively monitor developments, paying particular attention to the health and well-being of our students and the community at large. We are also aware of the business conditions in our member firms and their workloads. We are following the latest guidance based on current public health information, as well as the government’s measures and advice to curb the coronavirus spread. 

 

It is with regret that the Institute’s Qualification and Examinations Board announces the cancellation of the June 2020 Session of the QP. While contingency measures were developed for holding the session, ultimately the decision was taken to cancel in order to safeguard the health and safety of all those involved including QP students, workshop facilitators, and management staff.

 

We know this decision may be disappointing for some of you, who have been studying in anticipation of the examinations. We believe, however, this is in the best interests of everyone amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Upcoming QP schedule

 

You can be assured that students will not be disadvantaged by the cancellation of the June 2020 Session, as the current QP will be extended by one session and the roll out of the new QP will be postponed accordingly. The new schedule is as follows:

 

The current QP

Last offering of Module A to D – December 2020 Session

Last offering of Final Examination – June 2021 Session

 

The new QP

First offering of Associate Level – December 2020 Session

First offering of Professional Level – June 2021 Session

First offering of Capstone – December 2021 Session

 

Further details about the December 2020 Session will be announced closer to the start of the enrolment period.

 

Enrolment fees arrangement

 

Your enrolment for the June 2020 Session will be cancelled. If you have paid the corresponding enrolment fees, they will be refunded. If you have any questions, please contact the Student Admission Team on (852) 2287 7-068/ 289/ 397 or email to students.reg@hkicpa.org.hk.
