The Institute is seeking comments on the International Accounting Standards Board’s (IASB) Exposure Draft Consolidation Exception (Proposed amendments to the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard) by 7 August.
Extension of comment period
The Institute has extended the local comment deadline for the IASB’s Exposure Draft Risk Mitigation Accounting to 30 September, following the IASB’s decision to extend its comment period to align with the deadline for submitting the fieldwork results.
The additional time will allow entities undertaking fieldwork to consider those findings when preparing their comment letters and will also allow entities applying the hedge accounting requirements in IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement to consider the effects of the proposed withdrawal.
