Under the SME ESG Charter 2026, an initiative by The Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association (HKSME), this free thematic workshop on 26 August looks at how ESG certifications can open up new business opportunities for SMEs, and the ESG factors to weigh when selecting business partners and suppliers.

The Institute is pleased to be a Partner of Hong Kong Green Week, taking place from 7 - 11 September. Organized by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and themed "Future-proofing Sustainable Growth", this Hong Kong’s flagship sustainability event brings stakeholders together to advance dialogue and collaboration on issues shaping sustainable growth in Asia.
The Institute has also co-organizing a by-invitation-only satellite event with the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority on 9 September, which will help MPF trustees and principal intermediaries better understand climate-related risks and the HKFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards. Members are encouraged to explore the other sessions hosted by Green Week Partners and see Asia's sustainable finance hub in action.

The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) holds its 15th Biennial Corporate Governance Conference on 18 September. The programme examines how new technologies are shaping Hong Kong's governance ecosystem, and how business leaders are responding.
