  Provisional regulations on CPA practices carrying out audit services relating to the listing of Mainland enterprises outside Mainland  

The Ministry of Finance has issued the "Provisional regulations on CPA practices carrying out audit services relating to the listing of Mainland enterprises outside Mainland" 《會計師事務所從事中國內地企業境外上市審計業務暫行規定》, which will take effect from 1 July. In connection with this, the MoF's Accounting Regulatory Department has also published their response to media enquiries: 《強化跨境審計監管的重要舉措 – 財政部會計司有關負責人就會計師事務所從事中國內地企業境外上市審計業務暫行規定答記者問》. Risk management and internal control of the corporate governance code and corporate governance report

The TUE session on 23 June will cover key changes and additional responsibilities on audit committee resulting from the latest HKEx consultation conclusion on the corporate governance code and corporate governance report.


Global asset recovery and arbitration abuses

The Forensic Interest Group seminar on 22 June will discuss issues relating to abuses of the arbitration process in global asset recovery and ways to tackle the problem.


Activity-based vs. traditional budgeting

The workshop on 6 July will talk about the benefits of using activity-based budgeting and how it supports budgetary needs in manufacturing, retail, service and non-government sectors. +

Business Environment Council's training course on 17 July will teach you how to operate your business in a socially responsible way. You can also learn more about business environmental issues from their latest newsletter which covers Environment Bureau's energy saving plan 2015-25 and other topical subjects about protecting the planet.

 
SRC night extends enrolment deadline
Don't miss the Sports and Recreation Club night on 10 July at Telford Recreation Club to celebrate our CPA sportsmen's achievements in various external competitions. Enrolment deadline has been extended to 19 June.

Tennis improvement
If you already have basic tennis skill or have completed our elementary course, sign up for the intermediate tennis class in June to keep honing your technique.

Dance classes
The Jazz Funk and Waltz will commence on 19 June and 8 July respectively. Pick the class that best suits your interest.

KPMG has published an update about how to gain exemption from the requirement to preparing a business review under the new Companies Ordinance. +
 
Competition results
The Recreation and Sports Club for Hong Kong Professional Bodies annual dinner cum singing contest was held on 23 May with around 60 Institute members attending. CPAs Elaine Kwong and Adam Wong clinched the championship in the singing contest (group category). Click to see photos.
