AGM

 

Members are welcome to join the 45th annual general meeting at the Institute on 14 Dec, where the election results of new Council members will be announced. After the AGM, the new president and vice presidents will be elected at a special Council meeting. Click here for the AGM notice.

Exercise your right to select seven candidates to join the Council and cast your vote either by ballot paper or by

Annual dinner highlights

On 5 Dec, nearly 600 members and guests came together to enjoy a fun-filled annual dinner themed "Sparking the Smart Era". Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary, was our guest of honour. Click to see event photos.


Risk management and internal control
The seminar under the internal control series on 8 Jan will cover speakers' experience in helping companies develop a formal risk management system, the steps in performing risk assessment and developing internal controls, as well as the trend and best practices of risk management and internal audit.

Hong Kong’s record property prices
The seminar on 22 Jan will discuss Hong Kong's record property prices, the reasons behind overheated real estate prices, and the underlying factors in terms of land supply, demand and the government's monetary policy.

Indoor war game for young members
Register for the indoor war game event on 3 Feb, jointly organized by the Institute's Young Members Committee, The Hong Kong Institute of Architects and The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries, to improve your team spirit, and to sharpen your communication and leadership skills.

Reminder
Don't miss the seminar on 15 Jan which will examine the regime governing copyright on the internet in Hong Kong, discuss different types of infringement, civil and criminal liabilities/enforcement, and introduce how an intellectual property audit can help a business.

CPA Singing Contest

Congratulations to Natalie Tam who won the solo division at the CPA Singing Contest on 25 Nov. Natalie, with her partner Tiffany Cheung, also won the group division. Sandy Ngai, Tom Ho and Jeanie Wong, with equal scores, shared the Most Popular Contestant award and Helen Chan won the Best Stage Appeal award. Click to view full results and photos.
