An update on regulatory developments in the funds industry
At the FSIG seminar on 24 Jan Christina Choi, Executive Director of Investment Products, Securities and Futures Commission, will discuss the latest regulatory developments in the funds industry, including mutual recognition of funds, asset management regulation and point-of-sale transparency enhancement, review of the Code on Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds, and online distribution and advisory platforms.

Corporate risk management series
The corporate risk management series from Jan to Mar will cover the latest updates regarding corporate risk on financial crimes, General Data Protection Regulation, and the use of case studies to illustrate how mediation can assist in resolving various types of financial disputes.

Soft skills series
The soft skills series from Jan to Mar will focus on presentation skills and interview skills for management.

Compliance series
Enrol in the compliance series from Jan to Apr where legal professionals will share insights and experiences on regulatory compliance matters in Hong Kong and how they impact businesses.

Subscription to Mainland accounting and taxation yearbooks
The 2017 editions of Accounting Yearbook of China (《中國會計年鑒》2017年卷) and China Taxation Yearbook (《中國稅務年鑒》2017年卷) are available until 12 Jan. Click here for subscription details.

Becoming an insolvency specialist
The specialist designation in insolvency is open to members with considerable experience and competencies in insolvency practice, and who have gained the SQ (Insolvency). Holders of the designation are entitled to use "SD (Insolvency)" after their names. The current round of applications will close on 31 Jan.
