  Institute comments on budget

he Institute says the government's budget plan is good for the short term but lacks long term tax policy. In a press briefing held on 28 February, the Institute presented its stance and invited dialogue with the media on this important topic.

  New China Desk partner

he Institute has appointed a new China Desk partner to provide free advisory services to members on mainland issues related to accounting, taxation, customs, investment, industry and trade. Effective from 1 March 2007, the Shenzhen Institute of CPAs replaces the Guangzhou Institute of CPAs.
