Audit regulation lessons
  Come and meet one of the U.K.'s key audit regulators at a seminar jointly offered by the Institute and the ICAEW. Paul Boyle, CEO of the Financial Reporting Council, will talk about regulations in another major capital market. A must see event for members in business and in practice. +

TV campaign tells success stories
The "success stories" TV campaign features real life stories of members in business and practice. The four episodes: Profit vs. Penalty , The Detective, The Samaritan and The Master of Time, highlight the professionalism and knowledge of our members as success ingredients in business. Watch for the commercials on TVB Jade, TVB Pearl and TVB Pay Vision starting next Monday, 11 June. The ads can be viewed from Monday on the Institute's website.

Four current and former U.S. partners of Ernst & Young have been charged in the U.S. for promoting fraudulent tax shelters. +


Enron aftermath  
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has decided to support shareholders suing Wall Street banks for damages over Enron's collapse. +  

Hong Kong investment gain

The Hong Kong Exchange Fund's net investment income for the first quarter has increased by 15 percent but the Monetary Authority is concerned that there would be no gain in May. +


CUHK offers internal control diploma

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is offering a diploma in internal audit and control in July. Institute members get a 10 percent discount on enrolment fee. +
