Annual IRD meeting
Tax compliance and procedure improvement topped the agenda in the Institute's annual meeting with the Commissioner of Inland Revenue. Please refer to the Inland Revenue Department's minutes, issued this month, for details. +

U.S. Financial Accounting Standards Board is calling for a plan to move American companies off U.S. GAAP to follow International Financial Reporting Standards, according to CFO.com. +


GAAP foils NEC

Japanese electronics NEC was unable to file its annual report to the U.S. regulators because of difficulties reconciling Japanese GAAP with U.S. GAAP, which could result in NEC's delisting from the Nasdaq, WebCPA.com reports. +
