QP hits new recordThe Institute graduated a record-breaking class of 1,223 QP graduates (a 34% jump from last year) at the annual award and graduation ceremony on 5 Sept., officiated by Michael Suen, secretary for education. Over 3,600 students have graduated since QP commenced in 1999. Click here for the press release.

Accounting firms once again dominate Business Week's second annual ranking of the best places to launch a career. Ernst & Young jumps two spots to No. 1, followed by Deloitte and PwC. KPMG moved up to No. 5. +

The International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board is seeking comments on its proposed changes to IPSAS 5 Borrowing Costs. +

The IASB and U.S. FASB are working to converge the guidance on earnings per share. Please give your views on the proposed amendments on IAS 33 - Smplifying Earnings Per Share. +

Improvements to IFRS
