The seminar on 18 Jan. will focus on the impacts of the revised Corporate Governance Code on risk management and internal control to listed companies. +

Forthcoming insurance contracts standard
The Institute wrote a letter to the IASB to seek clarification on two key areas relating to the board's recent tentative decisions on the forthcoming insurance contracts standard.

Pre-publication draft of IVS 2017
International Valuation Standard Council has released a pre-publication draft of the new 2017 International Valuation Standards after considering the feedback from comment letters to the IVS exposure drafts.

IASB research forum webcasts

The webcasts of the IASB research forum held in October are now available, covering Conceptual Framework, definition of assets and liabilities, IFRS adoption and IFRS convergence.


Illustrative financial statements

KPMG has published illustrative annual financial statements under HKFRS for the year ending on 31 Dec. 2016.

 
Sports competition results
The Institute sent four teams to compete in the annual cross border competition held in Shenzhen on 18 Dec. Our teams placed first in basketball and table tennis, and third in badminton and football. Click to see photos.
Cyclone A clinched the championship in the bowling summer league, while teams Flash and Turkey placed second and third.
