About the HKIAAT
The Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Incorporated in 1988, the HKIAAT is the only local organization that is committed to the advancement of Accredited Accounting Technicians (AATs). Its mission is to meet business needs in Hong Kong and the mainland by upholding and promoting the competencies of its members and students, accrediting relevant sub-degree qualifications, and offering premier member and student services.
As the only body in Hong Kong that offers both a qualification and designation for AATs, the primary objectives of the HKIAAT are to encourage the training and education for AATs and to provide its members with opportunities for professional development in the accounting field. In this respect, the HKIAAT has implemented a new qualification framework, in June 2009. The framework is to ensure that those who hold HKIAAT membership will meet the broadening role required to support finance and accounting professionals in the dynamic world in which we operate.
