This 32-hour revision course, to be offered by the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), is to assist QP candidates to better prepare for the June 2009 final examination. The focus will be placed on improving candidates' analytical skills and techniques in handling questions, rather than going through in details the subject matters of the syllabus. However, the course includes a brief update of knowledge in financial reporting, financial management, auditing and information management, and taxation. Special emphasis will be placed on the special topics because at least 70% of the examination questions will be set based on the special topics.
Course Structure
The revision course consists of 32 hours covering the following topics:
1.
How to handle case questions of financial reporting and a brief update of knowledge in financial reporting (Module A). (12 hours)
2.
How to handle case questions of financial management and a brief update of knowledge in financial management (Module B). (4 hours)
3.
How to handle case questions of auditing and information management and a brief update of knowledge in auditing and information management (Module C).
(8 hours)
4.
How to handle case questions of taxation and a brief update of knowledge in taxation
(Module D). (8 hours)
Optional Mock Examination
All participants of final examination revision course can enroll optionally in the mock examination offered by the HKBU. Interested participants should prepare a cheque of HK$480 payable to Hong Kong Baptist University no later than
10 May 2009. The mock examination will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on 7 June 2009 at the HKBU, and a debriefing session will be held from 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on the same day.
