  New opportunity for Hong Kong CPAs in Shanghai  

Click here to see a set of trial rules (香港和澳門會計專業人士擔任上海自貿區會計師事務所合夥人試行辦法) formulated by the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau, which allows Hong Kong and Macau qualified CPAs who are also CICPA practising members to serve as partners of Mainland CPA practices at Shanghai pilot free trade zone.


Professional judgment guide issued at cross-straits, Hong Kong and Macau conference

Around 500 accounting professionals from the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, including the Institute's 121-person delegation led by the President, attended the conference on 12-13 Oct. in Macau. During the conference, a guide on professional judgment for CPAs (註冊會計師職業判斷指南) was issued. The guide covers the concept of professional judgment; relationship between professional judgment, competence and standard; major scope and decision making process of professional judgment; and how to exercise professional judgment. Click to see results and photos of the snooker team who came second in the RSCP Snooker Tournament against five other professional bodies which ended on 5 Oct. They also placed third in the friendly match. Benson Lam was the champion of highest break (amassing 33 degrees in one turn).
