It was a huge success for this year's Sports and Recreation Club night with more than 320 members and guests. The highlight of the evening included flag-waving and drum performance by President Clement Chan and Immediate Past President Susanna Chiu and the creative presentations of all 14 interest groups. Come join the annual CPA concert to be held on 12 Oct. at Leighton Hill Community Hall. Solo, duo or group performances are welcome. Free tickets are also available upon request. A free stage performance workshop will take place on 21 Sept. for interested members to learn more about stage crafts.

The 2014 Standard Chartered Marathon will take place on 25 Jan. 2015, Sunday. Online registration will start at 7 a.m. on 16 Sept. (full marathon), 19 Sept. (half marathon) and 23 Sept. Come join the golf lesson with Tommy Kan, former coach at the Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course with over 16 years of experience, in September and October.

Sign up for the first golf day of the new season at the Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course on 22 Sept. Members may choose from the player-friendly south course or the challenging east course.

Join the advanced short game on 11 Oct. at Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course with Billy Ma to sharpen your skills in bunkers and surrounds near the green.

Come join the third mini bridge tournament of the 2014 season on 27 Sept. to compete with fellow bridge players. If you wish to contend for the Bridge Interest Group Trophy, you have to participate in at least three out of the four matches of this season's tournament.

Cha Cha Cha (elementary I) and Quickstep (elementary II) will be taught on Thursdays in late September, while Jazz Funk and Jazz will be on Fridays and Saturdays respectively in early October and late September. Choose one or more to keep a balanced lifestyle and make new friends.

A series of training courses including kayaking and windsurfing are available in September and October. Enjoy the water sports activities and beat the hot weather.

Time to Ping Pong! Sign up for the CPA table tennis competition on 4 and 5 Oct. to put your skills to the test. It consists of men’s singles, women's singles, men’s doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. 

The elementary tennis training course, which comprises four 2-hour sessions, will commence on Tuesday evenings starting from early October subject to venue availability. Experienced coach will provide a structural training for beginners.

The Institute's Charitable Fund sponsored a football team to participate in the Homeless World Cup Fundraising Tournament on 17 and 18 Aug. at MacPherson Playground. The team won the championship in the Justice Shield category. Click to see photos.

Over 50 members attended the first joint event organized by dance and singing interest groups on 18 Aug., where they obtained more information about classes with live demonstrations and had a chance to meet the instructors. Click to see photos.

Two photography practice sessions led by members Irene Chiu and Albert Leung were held in July and August respectively, where participants shared the techniques for sunset and evening shootings. Click to see photos.
