Badminton events

Only a few places are left for the training course in April. Sign up before 28 March if you wish to improve your strokes and tactics.

Join the badminton fun night on 11 April at Smithfield Sports Centre to try this popular racquet game. Not only our badminton team members will be there to play with you, our coach will also offer basic training on-site.


Golf events

Sign up for the golf training course for all levels with Tommy Kan at Garden Farm Golf Centre commencing in April.

Join the golf day at Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club on 26 April for beginner and intermediate level players.

Enrol in the golf lesson on "Driving and Woods" on 3 May with Billy Ma for intermediate and advanced players.


Post marathon drink

All CPA runners are invited to the post-marathon drink on 7 April at the Institute to share the excitement and experience after the Standard Chartered Marathon. We will present CPA marathon trophies (for members) and SRC marathon trophies (for QP graduates and students) to outstanding runners.

Dancing classes in April and May

In April, Foxtrot (elementary I) and Rumba (with technique training) will be taught on Thursdays, while in May, Jazz Funk and Jazz will be on Fridays and Saturdays respectively. Put on your dancing shoes and have fun!


Table tennis league

Table Tennis Interest Group members are welcome to join the annual table tennis league on 4 May. You may sign up for the beginner, intermediate or advance division.


Photography events

If you want to practise and improve your skills in travel photography by using mirrorless camera or iPhone, enrol in the photography gatherings commencing in late May.

Four series of photography sharing sessions covering star trail, sports, pet, nature and outdoor portrait will be held between May and June. Field trips with models for your practising will be arranged.

 
  Competitions and awards

RSCP golf tournament

The Institute's golf team comprising 22 members came second in the annual Recreation and Sports Club for Hong Kong Professional Bodies golf tournament on 26 Feb. Vice President Ronald Kung was there to cheer the members.

Individual awards winners include: Lawrence Lee and Tommy Wong for Best Gross Score, Raymond Cheng and Rex Wong for Nearest to the Pin, Louie Wu for Longest Drive and Anthony Cheng for Highest Point. Click to see results and photos.


Mini bridge tournament

Congratulations to Dora Lo and Ruan Zhe for clinching championship in the first mini bridge tournament on 22 March. Peter Wong and Stephen Lee were first runner-ups, while Francis Hui and Benny Chow were second runner-ups. Click to see photos.

Six members completed the introduction to sailing training course on 22 and 23 March at Jockey Club Wong Shek Water Sports Centre. Click to see photos.


Bowl-for-fun night

Nearly 40 members joined the fun night on 21 March at the South China Athletic Association Bowling Centre. Special thanks to Vincent Chan, Carol Cheng, Darren Lee and Gavin Yuen, who provided basic coaching to the participants. Click to see photos.


Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail walk

More than 40 members and their family and friends joined the heritage trail walk on 9 March to explore the history of the Tang clan along the Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail in Fanling, followed by a Hakka lunch. Click to see photos.

A total of seven members attended the J80 newbies sailing classes on 1 and 9 March. Click to see photos.


Beat the Banana

Twenty members and their family participated in the World Cancer Research Fund Hong Kong's "Beat the Banana" charity run on 2 March. The Institue donated HK$7,000 to the charity. Click to see photos.
