The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced the re-implementation of its precautionary measures, from Wednesday 25 March 2020 onwards until further notice, to close library facilities and to adjust the services hours of counter on the 27th floor to 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, whilst counter services hours on Saturday remains unchanged (from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon).


CPD and sports and recreation events


Face-to-face CPD events will be replaced by webinars. Sports and recreation activities will be cancelled.  Participants will receive further information via email.

Other Social Services

While the major programmes "Rich Kid, Poor Kid" and "CPA for NGO" are initiatives targeting students and specific groups/organizations, the Institute also contributes to the community through other on-going initiatives. These initiatives are open to the general public. 


Free public advisory service scheme (FPASS)

Duty accountants meet face to face with public enquirers in weekly sessions to advise them on their financial management, taxation and other accounting related issues.

These sessions are held every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Institute's office.

Accountant ambassadors act as mentors to help secondary school students better understand the accountancy profession and the business world through the "Smart Way Forward" and the Millennium Entrepreneurship Programme.

Fund raising

The Institute supports local and international charities by raising money for their social services and emergency relief projects.
